Royal Wedding: What Hat To Wear?
I'm psyched about the upcoming royal wedding. Sure, I'm american & won't get a work day off. In fact since I work at a tea house I'll be working very hard. But I'm still jazzed. It's nostalgic to me. I was a small child watching the wedding on TV with Mom & all her friends, a party atmosphere. This wedding promises to be very different: it will be royal but more understated, more modern. I wish the couple sucess. Marriages can be hard even under normal circumstances. I hope they will stay happy and keep things going well. I love that Kate is modern but still lovely...she does not have the doe eyed demureness of Princess Di but she seems sparky and intelligent and able to hold her own which is important. And she rocks a very nice hat! I love that the hats have remained. I also like feather fascinators but they don't have the same oomph as a good hat. Even a small hat is better than a fascinator, especially for a big occasion like a wedding. What hat would you wear to the wedding? Here are some of my favorites.

Easter @ my Parents & Dad's Birthday
Happy Easter everyone! My husband made breakfast for everyone at our church after sunrise service this morning. Then we did family stuff. This is my Dad playing the Easter bunny. He is a good sport and I love him. :)
This is my nephew Sam's first egg hunt. He didn't care about any money in the eggs, just the toys, of course. We followed him around collecting discarded dollars in a plastic toy truck. LOL

A boy would be the son of France, but you Marie Therese shall be mine.
So my sister is going to have a baby girl. I am so thrilled! I love all of my nephews dearly but I'm excited about a baby girl around again. Particularly since my one neice Lyssa is now sixteen...it feels like only yesterday she was a flower girl in my wedding. I know, it's sappy. Can you imagine how I'd be if I were a parent? Mooning around singing Sunrise Sunset. Or maybe dancing for joy when they finally turned 18! Mhwhaha! Anyhow, this news has made my Good Friday that much gooder. Easter weekend, new baby coming, all the flowers coming up...I certainly wish the weather would oblige. I'm worried that Spring has been outsourced to China...or maybe laid off by the Easter Bunny. He wouldn't do that...would he?Thursday, April 14, 2011
